Active walks

An active walk is an opportunity to live everyday experiences with my guidance to help you gain a better understanding of what your dog is telling you when faced with different events and how best to react.

During these encounters we can organise many different activities.

We do game-based training, teaching basic obedience, such as leash-walking, heel-walking, basic positions (sit, down, stand), recall. The aim is to share moments of learning so that the duo (dog and human) can reinforce their relationship (bonding) and complicity while learning something useful.

When possible, we let the dogs interact. During these interactions we observe and analyse together what is taking place between the dogs so as to try and understand how the dogs are living the experience. This is pure observation with no  judgement.

When

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, preferably from 10am to 11am, the time may be negotiated and agreed upon by the participants.

Certain week-ends I am not available – since I too am continuing my training in order to offer you the best – I will let you know in advance on the Whatsapp group.

Where

Locations vary but mainly Engollon, Pierre-à-Bot, Les Fourches (above St-Blaise), St. Blaise Port and La Tène.

I am open to other proposals if the places are suitable.

Who

I, Cecilia, dog educator, accompany between 2 and 4 couples (dog and human), even 5, but never more.

You can bring more than one person per dog (family, partner) but I need to know in advance.

How much

30 CHF per dog for 1 hour

After 10 walks (throughout the year) I will offer you the 11th!

I keep a record for this.

The offer follows a solar year Jan 2024 to Dec 2024.

(Private lessons are also counted towards the free group lesson)

How to sign up/participate ?

  1. First of all, join the Whatsapp group using the QR code or the link below (you are welcome to contact me before joining the group)

  2. The group is self-managed. What does that mean? The group consists only of people like you who want to take part in active walks either on a regular basis or from time to time. Every weekend (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) all group members can suggest a class or a walk.

  3. If you want to work on something particular, you can just suggest it, and the same goes if you have a preference for the location or a time other than 10am.

  4. For example : "Hi, I would like to book an active walk on Saturday morning, preferably at 10:30. I would like to work on obedience, in particular recall."

  5. If there is at least one other person interested, the lesson will take place. If there are more than 4 or 5 people, there will be 2 lessons.

  6. I will always send a confirmation message with date, time, location and the program for the lesson.
